jKeywording is a Chrome/Edge browser extension that generates captions and keywords for your stock images in one click.
One of the most loved features is the auto-fill of the metadata directly in your stock website interface, reducing dramatically the time you spend keywording and speeding up your time to publish.
Head to the Chrome Web Store and Add to Chrome:
Click the puzzle piece ① in the top right of your browser. Then, click the little pin ② next to the extension
jKeywording is now accessible on Stock photo contributor pages via single click ③ on the extension icon.
Check the Youtube intro and demo if you prefer a video format.
jKeywording adds a contextual menu when you right-click on images in a stock photo website portfolio manager. After clicking Generate keywording metadata, the extension icon will change to a WAIT state while the image is being analyzed.
It takes less than 10 seconds for the analysis to complete. Once the metadata is available, the extension popup prefills with a caption and a list of keywords ready to be copied to the clipboard.
"Pin" this extension in Chrome to have the button always visible, and keywords readily accessible.
Once the keyword generation has completed, left-click on pinned extension button to Copy caption and keywords.
On top of this, the Insert buttons attempt to automatically edit/replace the caption, and add keywords in the stock photo website interface.
jKeywording currently supports Alamy and Adobe Stock (fetch keywords with right-click, autofill keywords into the web form), and Getty/iStock (fetch keywords with right-click).
No, jKeywording is designed to enhance your workflow by providing metadata, and adding it to webpages without saving. Once you are satisfied with the results visible in the portfolio manager, you must manually click "Save" on the website.
Click on the Extensions icon (puzzle piece) in Chrome, find jKeywording, and click the "pin" icon next to it. This keeps the extension icon visible in your toolbar.
The extension behaves as you, the human user, and doesn't have access to the servers and databases. It means that
jKeywording is free for up to 30 images per month. Hosting and operations have a cost that I cover.
On the other hand, professional photographers using jKeywording may generate keywords for close to 1000 images per month, which is possible with a subscription, directly from the extension: look for the "Subscribe" link. You can always email me if you need a custom plan.
